More than half the women polled say they would change something about their husband.
Curious to see whether or not women would be willing to change anything about their partners, one of the leading coupon code websites in the US surveyed two thousand
American women to discover their thoughts on the matter.
Only 18% said they wouldn’t change their partner in any way. But a whopping 65% said there were indeed things they’d like to change about their man. Heading the list were things like attitude (69%), cleanliness (5 4%), physical appearance (46%) and manners (43%). But topping the list – the things most women would change about their better half – was salary. 71% of those polled said they’d like to see their man make more money.
Furthermore, when asked if they had ever almost broken up with their current partner over what they deemed to be “flaws”, 45% of respondents said that they had. When asked if they’d attempted to change anything about their partner in the past, more than a third said they had, with ‘fashion sense’ being the top trait that they’d attempted to change.
Not surprisingly, 38% said they’d like to change their partner’s skills in bed. Rounding out the list of hoped-for alterations were friends, family, fashion sense and hobbies.
Mark Pearson, Chairman of CouponCodes4u.com, had the following to say about the findings: “We were interested to see if women have ever been tempted to change certain personality traits or attributes of their partner. What was surprising about the survey was just how willing the respondents were in terms of trying to change their partners without thinking twice about the consequences for their relationship or partner.”
